We are seeking an Adult Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and provide culturally sensitive, high-quality care in an outpatient setting.

ScheduleWe offer flexible schedules ranging from 20–40 hours per week, Monday–Friday.
Compensation$69.39 – $87.91 per hour ($ – $ annually), plus a signing bonus! This position is represented by SEIU, with compensation and benefits determined by the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Salary is based on the wage scales outlined in the agreement.

Federal and State Loan ProgramsTVHC is designated as both a Medically Underserved Area (MUA) and a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA), making employees eligible to apply for the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) and other federal and state loan repayment and forgiveness programs available to qualifying healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Performs health assessments, including thorough history and physical examination, ordering or performing diagnostic tests, medication orders, evaluation of psychosocial and family aspects to make a general health assessment.
- Promotes periodic health assessments and preventive screening, assessment and guidance regarding health hazards, good family health habits, and family planning.
- Manages common acute and chronic illnesses and initiates life‑saving procedures in emergencies.
- Provides clinical oversight of NP/PA trainees, NP residents, and/or new providers; directs medical assistants, lab personnel, and other non‑professional medical staff as appropriate.
- May provide in‑service training for staff on topics within scope of practice of medicine.
- Maintains electronic health records, including completion of medical records, documentation management, coding, and signing off charts within designated time set by the organization.
- Assists in internal quality control audits, maintaining standards of quality of care based on specialty and organizational standards.
- Discusses or refers complex and high‑priority patient cases as needed.
- Performs all duties in compliance with the organization’s Service Excellence Standards and adheres to all ethical canons.
- Demonstrates continued learning to ensure growth as a practitioner.
- Attends internal and external meetings, workshops, conferences, and participates on task forces or committees as required by TVHC.
- Provides additional assistance within and outside the clinical arena to ensure the organization’s ongoing success.
- Works as a member of the health care team and assists in educating patients and the community in preventive health care and health maintenance concepts.

- Board Certified/Eligible in designated specialty field of practice.
- Current medical license to practice in California, including DEA license and CPR.
- Previous experience providing medical care within a community health setting preferred.
