Zeiss Calypso CMM Programmer
We are seeking a CMM Programmer with experience programming for Zeiss tools, using CALYPSO, in a role supporting precision manufacturing by developing and executing measurement programs that verify complex components. You will work closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure dimensional accuracy throughout production.
TERM
- Contract - 3-6 months, possible temp to perm conversion.
LOCATION
- East Bay Area (Union City, CA area - work is on-site)
SHIFT
- Monday thru Friday, day shift
PLEASE NOTE
- This is a temp role for a term of 3-6 months, but it does have the potential to convert to a direct hire/perm employee.
- Create, modify, and optimize CMM programs using Zeiss Calypso software
- Perform dimensional inspections on production and prototype parts
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD and T requirements, and customer specifications
- Document inspection results and communicate findings to engineering and production teams
- Maintain CMM equipment, fixtures, and calibration standards
- Troubleshoot measurement issues and recommend corrective actions
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to inspection processes
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve quality concerns
Experience and Education Requirements
- Hands on experience programming CMMs with Zeiss Calypso
- Strong understanding of GD and T principles and blueprint interpretation
- Background in precision machining, manufacturing, or quality assurance
- Ability to analyze measurement data and identify trends or deviations
- Familiarity with metrology tools such as height gages, micrometers, and indicators
- High school diploma required; technical certificate or associate degree preferred
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
