Fabrication Engineer
A well-established company based in Union City, GA, is seeking a talented Fabrication Engineer to join their team. This role will be located at a plant in the southwest Atlanta metropolitan area. With recent investments in new capital equipment, the company offers a positive work environment and growth opportunities. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the chosen candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing manufacturing processes to meet production goals and product specifications.

Design production tooling using 2D & 3D software such as Solid Works
Implement productivity enhancements for existing production lines
Conduct root cause analysis and recommend design or process changes
Develop production processes for new products and modifications to existing ones
Perform FMEA’s on new and existing products
Review product designs for manufacturability
Collaborate in cross-functional teams to optimize productivity
Utilize lean manufacturing principles and design of experiments
Participate in design reviews for new and existing products
Create work instructions and maintain spare parts inventories
Implement automation solutions and machine design
QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; less than a Bachelor’s with relevant experience considered
Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience
Proficiency in Solid Works and Microsoft Office
Experience in tooling and project management
Knowledge of automation, robotics, and PLCs
Background in heavy manufacturing environment
Good mechanical aptitude and US work authorization

While performing the duties of this role, employees must be able to stand, walk, sit, and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
