The Sales Catering Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based on Spelman College Campus in Atlanta.
GA you would be responsible for supporting catering sales and execution for clients and events. This role coordinates incoming catering inquiries, prepares proposals, and collaborates with culinary and operations teams to ensure accurate menus, pricing, and event details. The coordinator manages event logistics, including orders, timelines, and communication with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality service and smooth execution. Daily tasks include maintaining sales records, updating catering calendars, processing confirmations and changes, and providing administrative support to the catering and sales leadership.
The role also involves responding promptly to client questions, assisting with tastings and site visits when needed, and helping identify opportunities to grow catering revenue while maintaining Bon Appétit’s standards for hospitality and food quality.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal interaction with clients and internal teams.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a focus on hospitality, professionalism, and client satisfaction.
- Sales and Catering Sales experience, with the ability to manage inquiries, proposals, and follow-up to secure events.
- Knowledge of Catering operations, including event coordination, menus, and basic understanding of food service logistics.
- Organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple events and deadlines.
- Proficiency with common office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, catering or CRM systems) and ability to learn internal tools.
- Ability to work on-site in Atlanta GA, including occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on event schedules.
- Prior experience in food service, hospitality, or event planning is preferred; relevant education or training in hospitality or business is a plus.
