PRN PET​/CT Imaging Technologist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PET/CT Imaging Technologist to join our team on a PRN basis. In this role, you will serve as a vital resource, providing scanning coverage and assisting in training and troubleshooting for fellow team members in a mobile imaging healthcare environment. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional patient care through high-quality imaging while maintaining patient satisfaction.

As a PET/CT technologist, you will utilize your communication skills to connect with patients, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the scanning process. Your expertise will be crucial in interpreting physician orders and selecting appropriate imaging protocols to produce accurate and high-quality PET/CT images that support effective diagnosis and treatment.

• Generate high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and adhering to radiation safety regulations.
• Collaborate with local Account Development Directors (ADDs) to communicate effectively with physician groups, Radiology/Clinic Directors, and Radiologists regarding scanning protocols and quality issues.
• Troubleshoot and maintain the scanner and peripheral equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Support sales initiatives through involvement in start-up activities and new business development as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
• NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification.
• State licensure as required.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver's license when applicable.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures, particularly in high-pressure and high-visibility settings.
• Proven ability to manage business relationships with physicians and customers.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
• Willingness to work at multiple locations.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities.
• Basic proficiency in computer applications and software.
• A readiness to travel up to 90% of the time.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with various Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and vendors including GE, Siemens, and Philips.

This role may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions when transporting patients in a mobile unit, as well as exposure to a strong magnetic field. You may encounter blood/body fluids and infectious diseases during patient interactions, along with other environmental hazards.

In this role, you will:

• Engage in activities such as sitting, standing, and walking over 50% of the time.
• Perform repetitive movements with hands, arms, and legs as necessary.
• Utilize your vision, hearing, and speech for patient communication.

Less than 50% of the time, you may also:

• Be required to stoop, kneel, or crawl.
• Climb and maintain balance.
• Support and lift non-ambulatory patients for transfers or examinations.
