As a Security Guard Government Unarmed Patrol in Union Springs, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. This is a part-time security officer role with opportunities to use our shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on your availability, giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you and gain site experience across various industries.

As a Security Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter security-related incidents, and maintain a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing outstanding customer service, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors. This is an unarmed post, and a valid driver's license is required as driving may be part of your responsibilities. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: Day Time Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM;
Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist visitors and employees with directions and information as needed.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to those at the location.
• Complete required reports and logs in a timely and accurate manner.

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
