AboutThe Role
Gateway Extrusions manufactures precision aluminum profiles that are cut and fabricated to customer specifications. As a Fabrication Technician in our Thermo-Fill & Debridge department, you’ll process extruded aluminum profiles to print, verify quality and dimensions, and keep accurate production records while supporting a safe, team‑oriented environment.
Work Schedule- Monday–Thursday: 4:30 pm – 2:00 am
- 8 hours of overtime Friday 4:30 pm–12 am when necessary, during peak production times
- Follow print specifications and part-specific packing instructions.
- Inspect material for scratches, dents, twists, and other defects.
- Count parts and verify information on routing tags.
- Log production data in the reporting system accurately and on time.
- Verify dimensions per print on aluminum extrusions using micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and other measuring tools.
- Take direction from the Fabrication Manager and Lead, and collaborate effectively with your team.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of required PPE.
- Ability to stand for 8–12 hours and bend at the waist.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Ability to read micrometers, calipers, and tape measures; proficient with small hand tools.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
