Job Summary This solo pastor position would best be filled by a shepherd who seeks God’s will, embodies strong faith, holds scripture in high regard, loves God’s people, and has a passion for discipleship. The ideal candidate will lead our congregation in worship, provide pastoral care, and advance our church’s presence and gospel proclamation.
Key Responsibilities Lead Sunday worship services and special services that would include but not be limited to weddings, funerals, and baptisms.Prepare and deliver sermons that are biblically sound, engaging, and applicable.Offer pastoral care and counseling to church members, including hospital visits, home visitations, and premarital counseling.Lead and develop church programs that support spiritual growth and fellowship including:
Bible studies, youth programs, education classes for adults and children, training for elders and deacons, and membership and communicants classes.Collaborate with the session to execute the church’s vision and mission.Direct ministerial team members and youth workers.Participate in community outreach and service projects to strengthen church‑community relations.Guide congregational efforts in local evangelism and foreign missions.Attributes Desired in our Pastor
