Description

The salary range for this position is 100,

My client, a commercial real estate company located in Union, has an opportunity for a Senior Accountant.

· Complete understanding and familiarity of all Balance Sheet accounts.

· Experience Supervising staff members.

· General Ledger Maintenance.

· Ability to understand and interpret financial statements.

· Create and coordinate with property managers to prepare annual budgets.

· Review reconciliation of capital/distribution accounts.

· Preparation of Financing/Sale packages to Banks/Brokers.

· Prepare template JE for Insurance and RE tax expense.

· Respond to all bank reporting inquiries.

· Prepare all Township/City inquiries real estate tax appeals.

· Maintain schedules for Deferred Leasing Commissions and Deferred Mtge Costs.

· Work/Communicate with outside accountants regarding tax return preparation.

· Provide support for legal, management and accounting departments.

· JE preparation for Sales/Financing transactions.

Requirements

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience in the field.

- Minimum of two years of accounting experience within the real estate industry.

- Proficiency in Yardi software and advanced Excel skills.

- Strong understanding of month-end close processes, general ledger management, and account reconciliations.

- Ability to prepare and analyze journal entries and financial statements.

- Skilled in interpreting complex documents, including mortgages and financial notes.

- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with legal, management, and accounting teams.

- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and execute special projects as needed.
