Union High School Bookkeeper

2026 - 2027 School Year

The Township of Union Public Schools is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, qualified Bookkeeper for Union High School.

REPORTS TO:

Vice Principal in charge of UHS Clubs and Activities

JOB GOAL:

To assist the UHS administration’s business operations with regards to clubs, activities, fundraisers, payment collection, etc.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Record-Keeping
  • Maintains a complete and systematic set of records for clubs, activities, fundraisers, and payment collection.
  • Records detail of school financial transactions in appropriate journals and subsidiary ledgers from such sources as requisitions.
  • Prepares Treasurer’s Report
    • Bank Reconciliation Summary (signed by you and the Principal)
    • Bank Reconciliation Detail
    • Balance Sheet
    • Bank Statement
    • Cash Receipts (with backup)
    • Cash Disbursements (with backup)
  • Traces errors and records adjustments to correct charges or credits posted to incorrect amounts.
  • Compiles and records cash receipt summaries.
  • Prepares 1099’s to vendors.
  • Assists in the daily operation and monitoring of the workflow and accuracy of accounts payable personnel.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive correspondence, records and information.

    • PAY RATE: $2,668 stipend per UTEA Agreement
