Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a Staff Accountant in Union County, NJ. In this role you will be responsible for AP, AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and more. If have 3+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant and are looking to grow your career, this might be the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable transactions including invoice entry, matching and coding invoices, and invoice processing.

- Prepare and process payments while meeting established deadlines.

- Process accounts receivable transactions, including generating and distributing invoices.

- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.

- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger with a strong focus on completeness and precision.

- Support month-end and year-end close activities by preparing reports and verifying account balances.

Requirements

- 3+ years of accounting experience in a staff accountant or similar role.

- Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

- Strong working knowledge of journal entries, bank reconciliations, and payment processing.

- Familiarity with wire transfers and cash management procedures.

- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments.
