Sustainability Senior Consultant – ESG Financial Services

What You Will Be Doing

• Support defined work streams across ESG reporting, strategy, and compliance engagements while ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
• Conduct research on emerging sustainability regulations, industry developments, and market trends to strengthen client assignments.
• Prepare materials for client meetings and contribute to workshops, discussions, and engagement sessions.
• Carry out ESG assessments and gap analyses, and assist in implementing related policies, processes, and tools.
• Support CSRD implementation by helping develop data models, templates, disclosures, and supporting documentation.
• Contribute to limited assurance engagements related to CSRD reporting, including testing, evidence collection, and preparation of work papers.
• Work collaboratively with PwC teams in Romania and across Europe to apply consistent methodologies and deliver projects effectively.
• Assist with business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentation support.

• A university degree or relevant practical experience in Environmental Science, including areas such as waste management, decarbonization, energy efficiency, or carbon foot printing; or in banking and insurance, economics, financial and non-financial reporting, or another ESG-related field.
• More than 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience in sustainability regulatory requirements and/or financial institutions.
• Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks such as CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and SFDR would be an advantage.
• Strong research, analytical, and report-writing skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong command of English.
• Excellent critical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving capabilities.
• A proactive attitude with strong personal initiative, adaptability, and resourcefulness.
