Job Description:

SUMMARY

Works directly with students, providing academic tutorial assistance in support of the material taught in class.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Supports the department’s goal of providing students with supplemental academic support by:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group tutoring
  • Developing and implementing non-credit workshops
  • Conducting “class visits” and assisting with publicizing services
  • Assisting with the maintenance of records
  • Completing all necessary paperwork accurately and according to stated deadlines
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of departmental instructional materials
  • Performing other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

  • Associate’s in a field commensurate with needs of the department.

  • The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment;

However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc.;
