Position: Elections Promotion Assistant / Cynorthwyydd Hyrwyddo Etholiadau

As part of the Students’ Union Leadership Elections, we are looking for enthusiastic, friendly and reliable students to support Student Voice staff during voting week (9 th
-12 th March)
.

The main roles and responsibilities of Elections Promotion Assistants are:

  • To staff stalls throughout the week, actively engaging passing students
  • To promote the elections, and engage students in conversation about them
  • To answer any questions students may have about the elections
  • To encourage students to exercise their democratic right to vote
  • To signpost any students who experience issues voting

All Election Promotion Assistants will receive training from the Elections Team prior to their first shift in order to prepare them, and shifts can be allocated around any existing commitments. The online training is scheduled for Wednesday 4th March 1 - 2pm

Person Specification

You will need good communication skills and a willingness to talk to a wide variety of students. You will also need to be self-motivated and willing to follow direction.

Any student standing as a candidate in the election, or who will be part of a candidate’s campaign team, will not be able to undertake this work.

. Shifts will be available between 10am-4pm each day.
