Secondary Education K-12
The faculty will contribute to the development of the Secondary Education K–12 curriculum and teach courses in Secondary Education. We invite candidates with the ability to teach a variety of Secondary Education courses, with specialization in Math and/or English content, and to mentor future educators. In addition to teaching and maintaining a research agenda focused on higher education, responsibilities include student advisement;
chairing and serving on college committees; ongoing program assessment and accreditation work; and contributing to Secondary Education K–12 programs.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction or a related field; experience teaching at the K-12 program level; and specialty in Math and/or English content is required. Experience teaching at the post-secondary level and experience with or interest in engaging with local schools and educational organizations for partnerships, research, and service is preferred. Experience in securing research funding; experience with online or hybrid course delivery;
familiarity with current trends in educational technology, assessment, and instructional strategies for Secondary Education; and an established record of grant writing are desired. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
Candidates must have an established and active independent research record that supports publication in peer reviewed journals or publication venues appropriate for the discipline and a strong agenda for future research. ABD candidates will be considered with degree completion by September 1, 2026.

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Law, the negotiated annual salary range for this position is $80,436.03 - $. Faculty rank is considered when making an offer. Salaries for internal applicants who are aligned under a collective bargaining unit will be determined in accordance with contractual guidelines. This position may also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, a retirement plan and benefits for work life balance.
