Adjunct Faculty, Department of Mathematical Sciences

Position

Adjunct Faculty – Mathematics. Teaching of undergraduate level mathematics courses at the main Union campus, Jersey City, and Kean Ocean Campus. All positions are non‑tenure track.

• Teach one to four credit classes, providing at least one hour of office hours outside the classroom per week for each credit taught.
• For each additional class taught, add thirty minutes of office hours per week.
• Provide at least thirty minutes of office hours per week for courses taught under three credits.
• Office hours may be held in person or virtually, scheduled as needed to meet student needs.

• Master’s degree in a related field (or ABD, Ed.D., Ph.D. or other acceptable doctorate).
• Teaching experience in mathematics (unless otherwise indicated).
• Proficiency in a Learning Management System, consistent with university guidelines.

• Effective September
  2025: $2,100 per credit.
• Effective September
  2026: $2,225 per credit.
• Starting with the 13th semester taught, an additional $75 per credit.
• Eligible for enrollment in a state‑administered retirement plan and the Part‑Time State Health Benefits Program.
