Estimator - Ship Repair

We are supporting a marine organisation with the recruitment of an experienced Ship Repair Estimator, supporting tendering and cost estimation for commercial vessel repair and refit projects.

This role suits a technically competent estimator with hands-on experience preparing repair budgets, analysing specifications, and working closely with production, purchasing, and subcontractors in a ship repair environment.

• 🔱 Prepare cost estimates and quotations for ship repair and refit projects
• 🔱 Review technical specifications, drawings, and scopes of work
• 🔱 Develop detailed labour, material, subcontractor, and docking cost breakdowns
• 🔱 Liaise with production, technical, and purchasing teams
• 🔱 Request, analyse, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
• 🔱 Support commercial negotiations and tender clarifications
• 🔱 Assist with variation pricing during project execution

• 🔱 Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 🔱 Strong technical understanding of hull, steel, piping, mechanical & structural repairs
• 🔱 Experience estimating drydock and afloat repair projects
• 🔱 Solid commercial awareness and cost-driven mindset
• 🔱 Comfortable working to deadlines in a tender-driven environment
• 🔱 Fluent English required other EU languages a strong plus
• 🔱 EU passport or unrestricted right to work in the EU
