We are supporting a vessel owner within the European Union with the appointment of an experienced Technical Superintendent, overseeing the technical condition, maintenance, and repair of vessels across the fleet.
Key Responsibilities- 🔱 Overall technical responsibility for assigned vessels
- 🔱 Plan and supervise ship repair, refit, and maintenance periods
- 🔱 Prepare technical specifications and repair scopes
- 🔱 Manage shipyard selection, repair execution, and close-out
- 🔱 Interface with shipyards, class societies, flag authorities, and suppliers
- 🔱 Monitor technical budgets, costs, and variations
- 🔱 Support vessel inspections, audits, and surveys
- 🔱 Provide technical support to Masters and Chief Engineers
- 🔱 Marine Engineer, Naval Architect, or senior seagoing engineer background
- 🔱 Proven experience as a Technical Superintendent (or Senior Technical role)
- 🔱 Strong knowledge of ship repair, drydock, and maintenance operations
- 🔱 Solid understanding of class, flag, and statutory requirements
- 🔱 Commercial awareness: budgeting, cost control, and claims
- 🔱 Confident managing shipyards and external contractors
- 🔱 Fluent English required | Russian a strong advantage | Other European languages a plus
- 🔱 EU passport or unrestricted right to work in the EU
