About The Role
Sporty is seeking a TA Sourcing Team Lead to drive our global talent sourcing strategy across both Technical and Commercial functions. You will lead and mentor a growing team of sourcers while maintaining a hands‑on approach to uncover high-potential candidates for departments including but not limited to Engineering, Product, Finance, Marketing, and Operations. You will work hand‑in‑hand with the wider Talent Acquisition team to build robust pipelines and ensure hiring managers have access to top‑tier talent.
This is a leadership role, ideal for someone with deep sourcing expertise who is ready to mentor a team, refine strategy, and contribute to scaling a fast‑paced, global company. Will consider candidates in the EU and South Africa.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sourcers, driving performance and ensuring best practices across Technical and Commercial domains
- Build and maintain advanced sourcing pipelines for a diverse range of roles, from Software Engineers and Product Managers to Marketing and Finance leaders
- Utilise and train the team on Linked In Recruiter, X‑ray search, and niche platforms (e.g. Git Hub, Stack Overflow, Behance, etc.) to identify hard‑to‑find talent
- Analyse sourcing metrics and conversion rates to optimise strategies and report on team performance to leadership
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and hiring managers to forecast hiring needs and define ideal candidate profiles
- Screen senior‑level candidate profiles, assess culture fit, and manage the hand‑off to recruiters
- Act as a subject‑matter expert on market trends, market mapping, competitive intelligence, and creative sourcing channels within the European market and beyond
- Contribute to employer branding initiatives to attract passive candidates in a competitive market
- 5+ years of total experience in a sourcing role, with at least 2 years of experience in a Lead or Senior capacity
- Proven experience sourcing for both Technical (Engineering, Product, Data) and Commercial (Marketing, Finance, Ops) roles
- Expert knowledge of Linked In Recruiter, Boolean logic, X‑ray search, and alternative sourcing platforms
- Experience managing or mentoring other sourcers/recruiters, with the ability to drive KPIs and team motivation
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Strong data and analytics expertise; comfortable using metrics to guide decision‑making and strategy
- Ability to work well in a remote / distributed team environment across European time zones
- Agility to switch focus quickly between high‑volume technical roles and niche commercial searches
