Senior Site Reliability Engineer

We need a Senior SRE to ensure Xident's verification platform runs % uptime. You'll own SLOs, incident response, and production reliability for a system that processes millions of identity verifications — where downtime means blocked users and lost revenue for our customers.

• Define and enforce SLOs/SLIs across our Go API, Python OCR workers, and PostgreSQL infrastructure
• Own incident response — build runbooks, lead postmortems, and drive reliability improvements
• Design and maintain our observability stack:
  Prometheus metrics, Sentry error tracking, structured logging
• Implement chaos engineering practices to proactively identify failure modes
• Optimize database performance — query tuning, connection pooling, and Neon PostgreSQL scaling
• Build capacity planning models and ensure our infrastructure scales with customer growth

• 7+ years of SRE, platform, or production engineering experience
• Expert knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, and alerting at scale
• Deep experience with PostgreSQL operations — replication, backup, disaster recovery
• Strong coding skills in Go or Python for building tooling and automation
• Experience running production systems at 99.9%+ availability
• Proven incident response leadership and blameless postmortem culture

• Experience with Neon or other serverless PostgreSQL platforms
• Background in SOC 2 or GDPR compliance from an infrastructure perspective
• Familiarity with GPU infrastructure reliability for ML workloads
