Job DescriptionWe are seeking a technically strong Manufacturing Engineer with a passion for building and process improvement. This role focuses on enhancing manufacturing safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for panel boards, switch gear, bus systems, wiring harnesses, and control panels.
- Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, BOMs, routings, and labor standards.
- Support DFM and collaborate with Engineering on new product introductions (NPI).
- Analyze workflows, resolve manufacturing issues, and implement process improvements using lean principles (5S, Kaizen, waste reduction).
- Evaluate tools, equipment, jigs, and fixtures for efficient assembly.
- Support quality initiatives including RCA, CAPA, and continuous improvement.
- Train production teams and collaborate with suppliers to enhance material quality.
- Ensure compliance with UL, NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in electrical equipment, switch gear, panel boards, or similar industrial assembly.
- Strong knowledge of electrical components and ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, one-lines, and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar) with hands‑on experience in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with UL (508A, 67, 891) and NEC standards, along with ERP/MRP systems (BOMs, routings).
- Experience in high‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing and CNC/enclosure fabrication processes.
