Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma, Quality Engineering
Gavan Graham is seeking an analytical and driven Industrial Engineer to support our low- and medium-voltage electrical manufacturing operations. This role will lead continuous improvement initiatives, eliminate production obstacles, and champion Lean Manufacturing across the organization.
Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain, you'll use data to drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities- Create and maintain process flow diagrams and manufacturing documentation.
- Conduct time studies related to Epicor Bills of Operations (BOOs).
- Analyze production data to identify trends, improve efficiency, and remove production obstacles to hit operations Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Develop reports, present recommendations, and report on cost-benefit of improvement initiatives to Leadership Team.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, including Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis (RCCA), Kaizen events, and other cross-functional projects to improve manufacturing quality, productivity, and throughput.
- Manage the Production improvement and issue resolution ticket system.
- Assist with establishing internal Lean certification program and RCCA culture with Production Leadership.
- Support Epicor data accuracy and process standardization.
- Support ISO 9000 recertification and implementation of standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in an industrial operation environment – manufacturing or reverse logistics preferred.
- 3+ years of project management experience
, including leading cross-functional or group projects. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
- Organized, disciplined, and eager to learn.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills. - Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor preferred).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in electrical equipment, switch gear, switchboards, or custom manufacturing.
Plus two or more of the following qualifications…
- Experience with Process Mapping, Process Flow Diagrams, and Value Stream Mapping to design work cell processes and facility flow.
- ASQ Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Skills with Power BI, Looker, Microsoft SQL server, Tableau, or similar tools.
