Electrical Estimator – Low Voltage Switchgear; Manufacturing

We’re looking for a hands-on Electrical Estimator with direct experience in low-voltage switch gear manufacturing to support our expanding operations.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll take ownership of estimating custom switch gear solutions—working closely with engineering, sales, and production teams.

This is not a training role
. We are seeking someone who can step in and contribute immediately.

• Develop detailed cost estimates for custom switch gear projects
• Interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, and layouts
• Build accurate Bills of Material (BOMs)
• Analyze specifications and customer requirements
• Partner with internal teams to support quoting and production

• 3+ years of estimating experience in low-voltage switch gear manufacturing
• Experience with:
• Panel boards
• Switchboards
• Strong knowledge of:
• UL 891
• UL 1558
• NEC
• Proven ability to build BOMs and perform equipment-level costing

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in estimating within the electrical manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of switch gear, control panels, and electrical distribution systems.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and cost drivers.
• Proficiency with estimation and CAD software; ERP/MRP system experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Experience working in a custom or build-to-order manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of UL standards and relevant electrical codes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
