Compensation
The starting pay range is $25.00 - $27.00 per hour. The full pay range is $25.00 - $42.50 per hour. Pay varies by labor market, education, experience and certifications.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of hourly team members, including interviewing, developing, coaching, evaluating and retaining talent.
- Coach and train team members to build a team of hourly team members with direction from your direct leader.
- Deliver guest‑experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly experience.
- Observe and provide feedback, hold team members accountable and recognize guest experience moments.
- Review area guest, financial and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, act to improve and align the team on the right behaviors and execution.
- Lead daily and weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement.
- Receive products, merchandize, sign, set and update merchandise sales‑floor displays.
- Restock shelves, organize backrooms and handle price changes for GM areas.
- Educate team on operational procedures such as setting up merchandise, managing product accuracy and stock levels, and maintaining sales‑floor areas.
- Assess reporting, identify gaps, and develop plans in collaboration with your direct leader.
- Assign daily tasks based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns.
- Help establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable.
- Lead pick, pack and ship fulfillment work accurately (if applicable) and assess fulfillment reporting.
- Ensure product is in stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor while prioritizing guest experience.
- Collaborate with all teams and leaders to identify key priorities and keep the store guest‑ready.
- Stay informed about relevant trends and products to educate team members.
- Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest‑centric team.
- Model a culture of best practices, onboarding and learning; close skill gaps through development, coaching and interactions.
- Identify team members for future leader positions and build a talent pool using growth development.
- Support guest services such as backup cashier and digital fulfillment processes while maintaining a compliance culture.
- Demonstrate inclusivity, ethical conduct, and a safety culture, holding the team accountable to these standards.
- Model and enforce physical security processes to enhance the in‑store security culture.
- Support merchandise protection strategies across the store, including ordering, storage and application as directed by best practices.
- Assume store‑level leadership on duty responsibilities when needed to enable the guest experience.
- Address all store emergency and compliance needs.
- All other duties based on business needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Age 18 or older.
- Previous retail experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
- Communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
- Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment, accomplishing multiple tasks within established time frames.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
- Effective communication skills.
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
- Interpret instructions, reports and information accurately.
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
- Climb up and down ladders; lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds without assistance.
- Flexible work schedule (including nights, weekends, holidays and peak shopping times); reliable and prompt attendance necessary.
- Capable of working in varying temperatures and humidity while performing certain job duties.
- Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift, including lift and carry tasks.
