HVAC Technician – Job Description & Responsibilities

We are seeking a reliable and skilled HVAC Technician to install, service, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and light commercial customers. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including furnaces, hydronic boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless mini-splits
• Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and recommend proper solutions
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Test HVAC systems for proper operation, airflow, and efficiency
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding system issues, repairs, and maintenance options
• Maintain accurate service records and work orders
• Follow all safety procedures and local building codes
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good condition
• Participate in on-call rotations as needed

• 5+ years HVAC experience (or equivalent training/apprenticeship)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces
• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ductless/VRF experience
• NATE certification
