About Bound Logistics

Bound Logistics is a growing drayage and intermodal transportation provider serving customers throughout the Northeast. We pride ourselves on reliable service, strong carrier relationships, and operational excellence at the NY/NJ and Philadelphia ports. As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced Dray Dispatcher to join our operations team who understands port operations, drayage terminology, and the fast-paced nature of container logistics.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience dispatching dray trucks, coordinating with drivers, terminals, and customers, and managing loads within a transportation management or port operating system such as Port Pro (or similar).

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispatch and coordinate daily dray operations, including container pickups, deliveries, and returns
  • Assign loads to drivers based on availability, port appointments, and customer requirements
  • Monitor driver progress and provide real-time updates to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, terminals, steamship lines, and customers
  • Manage port appointments, container status, and turn times
  • Troubleshoot delays related to port congestion, chassis availability, or equipment issues
  • Ensure accurate data entry in Port Pro or equivalent system
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience dispatching in a drayage/intermodal environment
  • Strong understanding of drayage terminology, port operations, and container movement
  • Familiarity with NY/NJ and Philadelphia ports
  • Experience using Port Pro or similar dray/intermodal dispatch software (e.g., Trinium, Dray Master, 3

    Gt, TMS systems)
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work early mornings or flexible hours as needed in port operations
  • Spanish language skills are a plus (preferred but not required)
