Position of Grading Foreman. The successful candidate will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

• Supervise various phases of grading operations in a safe and productive manner.
• Read and interpret plans, set and check grade.
• Communicate effectively with team and stakeholders.
• Implement environmental, health and safety regulations and policies.
• Operate and maintain equipment, ensuring good housekeeping.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate daily activities and work assignments.
• Analyze construction equipment and trucking requirements on site.
• Maintain daily records of all project facts, events and conditions.
• Recognize potential problems before breakdowns occur.
• Follow company policies and procedures and train employees accordingly.
• Track and report daily work hours for crew, equipment utilization, and quantities of work performed.

• 5+ years experience in roadway and site construction.
• Knowledge of traffic control standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience operating grading equipment such as dozers, excavators, motor graders, scrapers, and rollers.
• Travel in short intervals may be required.
• Fluency in English, both verbally and written.
• Valid, current driver’s license.
• Minimum one year as Lead on a grading crew (preferred).
• Knowledge of GPS grade control systems (preferred).

• Climb on and off machines several times a day.
• Operate machines for several hours without stopping.
• Withstand vibration and noise from equipment.
• Use arms, hands, and feet in repetitive motions.
• Stand and walk regularly; occasionally sit.
• Lift and/or move up to 60 pounds regularly.
• Maintain close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision; 20/40 vision required.
• Excellent hearing required.

Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, adverse weather, fumes, airborne particles, wet or humid conditions, high or precarious places, and oxic or caustic chemicals. Noise levels are usually very loud.
