• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
• Active South Carolina Department of Education teaching license in a recognized special education area (such as Learning Disabilities, Multi-categorical, or Emotional Disabilities)
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments

• Develop, adapt, and deliver engaging instructional plans tailored to individual student needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and family members
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to maximize student growth and independence
• Create a classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and emotional well-being
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to compliance deadlines and reporting requirements
• Stay current with special education regulations and best practices

• 2026-27 school year, with tentative dates:
  August 4, 2026 May 27, 2027 (follows school calendar)
• 37.5-hour work week
• Caseload to be determined
