Special Education Teacher | Union, South Carolina

Make an impact where it matters most support elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a self-contained, multi-categorical classroom. This contract role begins ASAP and offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 to 40 hours per week. Youll be working closely with grades 3-5, managing a caseload of 11 students, and collaborating with a dedicated support team focused on creating positive outcomes.

• Valid and current certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience with self-contained, multi-categorical settings preferred
• Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Passion for engaging with students with diverse learning needs (grades 3-5)
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment
• Team-oriented mindset with collaborative skills to support students and colleagues

• Delivering specialized instruction aligned with student IEP goals
• Creating and adapting curriculum to meet the varied academic and social-emotional needs of learners
• Monitoring progress, maintaining accurate records, and conducting assessments
• Working closely with service providers, parents, and faculty to promote student growth
• Fostering a positive, empowering space where each students potential can shine
• Participating in school-based meetings and ongoing professional development
