Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Skilled Nursing

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a weekend night Skilled Nursing Facility position requiring LTC experience and a SC or compact RN license.

• Active SC or compact RN license required (pending license accepted, must be obtained before start)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required, 2 years preferred
• LTC experience required
• Comfortable working with high patient ratios (1:22-44)
• Any charting/EMR system experience accepted; recent Epic experience preferred

• Skilled Nursing Facility/Long-Term Care unit setting
• High patient ratio ranging from 1:22-44
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Weekend shifts required
• Block scheduling not accommodated
• Provide skilled nursing care including wound care, catheter care, ostomy management, respiratory care, and medication administration
• Care for patients with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, stroke, and other neurological and chronic conditions
• Pass/fail Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test required during first day of orientation with only one attempt allowed
• Attendance policy in place; missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review for cancellation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside outside a 75 mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• All requested time off must be submitted with the initial application; requests made afterward will not be considered
• Former permanent staff of this health system are not eligible to return as travelers
