Job Description:

As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing and executing contract requirements, including technical, schedule, and cost elements within an engineering environment. Your role will involve overseeing profit and loss (P&L) and ensuring a clear understanding of program operations such as design, drawings, documentation, cost, and schedule/milestone performance.

• Coordinate electronic EEE part procurement, with EEE space part knowledge being a plus.
• Create detailed program schedules using MS Project.
• Manage and coordinate problem-solving initiatives.
• Develop risk identification and reduction plans.
• Coordinate customer reviews and program status updates, generating reports and interfacing with customers.
• Prepare and present progress reports to customers and executive management.
• Participate in supporting new business development and expanding business from existing customers.

• Proficient in MS Office, including MS Project.
• BS degree in Engineering.
• 5 years of experience in program management or engineering.
• Knowledge of earned value, program management, cost reports, and aerospace electronics manufacturing.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to ITAR regulations.
• An Engineering degree (Electrical preferred) with 3-5 years of technical and business/financial experience.
• Good knowledge of MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The company is an electronics firm that designs and manufactures satellite communication systems for the aerospace, space, and defense industry. Located in Uniondale, NY, it employs over 200 engineers and manufacturing personnel. The dress code is casual, with lab coats provided. Working hours are from 7:30 AM to 5:15 PM, with every other Friday off. The role includes a 9/80 work schedule, offering a three-day weekend every other week.

Overtime is available and compensated at 1.5 times the regular rate. The company is conveniently located near public transportation and offers paid holidays for contractors after 30 days.

This is a Permanent position based out of Uniondale, NY.

The pay range for this position is $80,000.00 – $/yr. The work arrangement includes 9/80 schedules; employees complete 80 hours in 9 days and have every other Friday off. The company provides contractors with paid holidays (matching internal employee holidays) after 30 days. The company is located near public transportation. EOE/Disability/Veteran.
