I’m currently partnered with a well‑known, growing Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) in Nassau County, NY that is looking to add an Associate to their team.

This well‑capitalized REIT has a diversified portfolio spanning commercial properties and a thriving commercial mortgage lending arm. They offer a supportive culture with a strong track record of promoting from within, and a reputation for stability and smart growth.
Responsibilities:- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses
- Support the preparation of financial statements and SEC filings
- Collaborate closely with teams managing commercial mortgage loans and property operations to ensure accurate accounting and compliance
- Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors
- Contribute to special projects that enhance reporting and support continued expansion of the mortgage lending portfolio
- 1-2+ years of experience in public accounting (audit or accounting services), eager for a first move into private industry, ideally from the Big 4
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA highly valued
- Strong technical foundation in US GAAP and accounting principles
- Self-starter with a keen interest in commercial real estate and lending
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
This is a full‑time onsite role based in Nassau County, NY (commutable from throughout Long Island).
