Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a 5+ years experienced Defense Litigation Attorney to join their team, handling complex civil defense cases from inception to trial while working with a leading New York litigation firm.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Manage a full caseload of civil defense litigation matters independently.
Represent clients in depositions, court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and respond to discovery requests.
Conduct legal research, develop case strategies, and negotiate settlements.
Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and maintain accurate billing records.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Admitted and in good standing with the [State] Bar.
Minimum 5 years litigation experience, preferably in civil defense.
Strong courtroom, deposition, research, writing, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in case management software and legal research tools.
