I have a client located in Uniondale, NY who has an opportunity for a High Vacuum Technician.
In this role you will be a High Vacuum Technician for a client that is in the electronics manufacturing industry. This role is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repair of high and ultra-high vacuum systems.
This is a direct hire role that must be performed on-site.
The pay is $80,000 to $90,000
Job Requirements:- 2+ years of hands on experience in high or ultra-high vacuum systems
- Strong knowledge of vacuum theory, pressure measurement, and system design
- Knowledge of stainless steel piping, fittings, valves, and clean room procedures
- Experience with thin film deposition, semiconductor, or scientific instrumentation environments is a plus
- Must have precise welding experience
- Ability to install, assemble, and maintain high and ultra-high vacuum systems and components
- Ability to troubleshoot vacuum leaks and perform leak detection using helium mass spectrometers
- Operate and maintain pumps (mechanical, turbomolecular, cryogenic, diffusion, and ion pumps)
- Calibrate and repair vacuum gauges and controllers
