Key Account Manager

This position is with our client onsite in Uniondale, NY

Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow relationships with pet specialty retailers and distributors
• Expand distribution, sales volume, and brand visibility across assigned accounts
• Analyze sales performance, profitability, and market trends to identify growth opportunities
• Lead customer business reviews, presentations, and strategic account planning
• Execute pricing, promotional, and merchandising strategies
• Partner cross-functionally on forecasting, demand planning, and customer needs

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
• 3–7 years of experience in sales within Pet Specialty, Food & Beverage, or adjacent CPG categories
• Experience calling on headquarters, regional offices, and/or managing distributor relationships
• Strong ability to analyze trends, data, and sales performance metrics
• Proficiency in creating compelling PowerPoint sales presentations
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners
• Ability to travel locally or regionally as needed, including time spent in the field
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
