Job Title: Group Travel Sales & Operations Manager
Location: Uniondale, NY | 4 days onsite, 1 day remote
Salary: $80,000 base salary + uncapped commission
I am conducting a confidential search for a growing international travel business seeking a Group Travel Sales & Operations Manager
.
This role combines group travel operations, business development, and supplier management. The successful candidate will oversee group bookings from initial inquiry through completion while helping expand the company’s U.S. client base and supplier network.
Key Responsibilities- Quote, book, and manage domestic and international group travel
- Oversee bookings from initial inquiry through ticketing, travel, and follow-up
- Develop relationships with airlines, hotels, and travel suppliers
- Secure competitive group fares, terms, and availability
- Generate new business and build a portfolio of repeat clients
- Recommend appropriate travel solutions based on client needs
- Resolve time-sensitive issues while delivering exceptional service
- Improve booking processes and operational efficiency
- Support future team growth and training
- Relevant experience booking and managing group travel
- Experience working with IATA procedures and requirements
- Working knowledge of the Amadeus Global Distribution System
- Knowledge of the U.S. travel market and airline group procedures
- Strong sales, client-development, and relationship-management skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple complex bookings and deadlines
- Commercially driven and comfortable working toward revenue targets
- Flexibility to provide occasional support outside standard business hours
