Heavy Equipment Operator:

We are seeking experienced heavy equipment operators to support landfill construction and cell development projects throughout the region. You will primarily work on CAT D6 dozers and production excavators, performing tasks such as grading, earthmoving, landfill cell construction, slope work, and material placement.
Responsibilities- Operate CAT D6 dozers and production excavators safely and efficiently.
- Construct and maintain landfill cells according to project specifications.
- Grade and compact landfill materials to required elevations and tolerances.
- Work on slopes up to a 1:3 grade.
- Utilize onboard Trimble GPS systems for grading and layout.
- Perform hauling and earthmoving operations averaging approximately one-half mile in each direction.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain production goals while operating safely.
- 3+ years of heavy equipment operating experience.
- Experience with dozers, excavators, landfill, earthwork, or heavy civil projects.
- Ability to work extended hours and travel as project demands require.
- Strong attendance and reliability.
Skills & Qualifications
- GPS experience preferred, especially with Trimble systems.
- Experience working on steep grades and maintaining slope tolerances.
- Experience reading grade stakes, plans, and machine control displays.
- CAT equipment experience highly preferred.
- Landfill construction experience is a plus.
- Ability to travel extensively.

WorkEnvironment
Work outdoors in landfill and heavy civil construction environments, often on active landfill construction projects. Expect a five-day work week with overtime available and frequent travel required. Be prepared for exposure to varying weather conditions and terrain. Company provides a hard hat and safety vest, but employees must provide their own steel-toe boots (above the ankle), work pants, and T-shirts. General labor and high stamina are required.

This is a contract position based out of Uniontown, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
