Job Summary and DescriptionFull‑time faculty members are professional educators responsible for meeting the institution’s mission, vision, values, strategic plan, board charges, and educational philosophy, and for providing quality education to all students. They are classified as Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, and are bound by Board policies, including academic freedom. They report to a discipline coordinator and/or department chair and are accountable to the administrative structure of their college and the district.
Their relationship to students is that of leader, teacher, adviser, mentor, and facilitator of learning.
- Master's degree in the teaching discipline or a Master's degree in another field with at least 18 hours of post‑graduate studies in the teaching discipline.
