Urgently hiring Cash Applications Specialist in the Shaker Heights area!
Job Title:
Cash Applications Specialist Pay: $24-26/hr
Hours:
Monday through Friday (Full-time, on-site)

ASAP Looking for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with numbers and keeping financial records accurate? Join a growing organization that provides flexible funding and specialized support to staffing businesses as a Cash Applications Specialist in the Shaker Heights, Ohio this role, you’ll be responsible for accurately applying and recording customer payments, researching discrepancies, and helping maintain clean and up-to-date accounts receivable records.
You’ll collaborate with the accounting team to resolve payment-related questions, assist with audit documentation, and identify opportunities to improve cash application processes and efficiency.
What You’ll DoAs a Cash Applications Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Post and record payments received through various payment channels
Review daily cash activity and investigate any variances or posting discrepancies
Coordinate the processing of adjustments and credit memos with appropriate departments
Work collaboratively to investigate and resolve customer payment questions
Review transactions for unusual activity and escalate potential payment concerns when necessary
Maintain organized financial documentation and records for audit purposes
What You’ll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have:5+ years of experience in accounting, cash application, or comparable financial functions
Strong focus on accuracy, with careful attention to detail
Proficient with Excel and accounting systems with the ability to learn new platforms
Self-directed and capable of balancing competing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines
College-level accounting or finance education preferred
