Position Overview
Position: 25-26 Part‑Time K‑6 Technology Teacher
Available:
Immediately 25‑26 School Year (Long‑Term Substitute)
Schedule:
Monday‑Friday On‑site, 9:30 am – 1:30 pm (slightly alternate on mass days, usually Fridays 10:30 am – 2:30 pm)
Days: 4 classes daily, 35‑45 minutes each
Pay: $80/Day
Location:
Gesu Catholic School, 2450 Miramar Blvd., University Heights, Ohio 44118
- Develop and deliver lessons for all K‑6 Technology classes.
- Apply current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, differentiating instruction based on student learning styles.
- Integrate technology and 21st‑Century teaching methods into daily instruction.
- Use software such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace for Education, online grade books, and other technology tools to enhance learning.
- Facilitate Project‑Based Learning (PBLs) and incorporate STREAM education regularly.
- Plan, prioritize, and coordinate work, managing classroom culture and student relationships.
- Communicate effectively with administration, staff, students, and parents.
- Engage in self‑evaluation for professional growth.
- Participate in or develop extracurricular activities, additional school initiatives, and support staff committees (Spirituality, Curriculum, Student Programs, Technology, Building Leadership).
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline (required).
- Master’s degree in a related area (preferred).
- Practicing Roman Catholic (preferred).
- Successful prior teaching experience for appropriate grade levels (a plus).
