DescriptionAssist teachers, counselors and administrators in providing educational services to students with special needs. Work will involve assisting a student 1:1 with remedial, enrichment and/or independent living activities as well as supporting instructional and educational goals.
Job SummaryMinimum of 7.0 hours/day, 5 days/week, 195 days/year
Elementary School Parapro Day: 8:15 AM - 3:45 PM, Monday
- Friday
- 2 years of college coursework
- OR an Associate's Degree or higher
- OR high school diploma with the passage of the Para Pro Assessment prior to employment
- One year of related successful work experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in operating basic office equipment, such as copiers
- Ability to lift equipment, supplies and/or children weighing at least forty (40) pounds
- Physical ability to perform all of the essential functions of the job.
- An active Educational Aide Permit(1-Year or 4-Year) or a teaching license issued by the Ohio Department of Education
- Experience working with students with special needs
$17.47/hour (non-degreed); $19.74/hour (2-year degree); $21.50/hour (Teaching Certificate)
