The Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences at John Carroll University invites applications for a Part-Time Faculty position to teach Social Psychology.
Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare course materials and pedagogy to achieve course learning goals and objectives.
- Employ appropriate pedagogy for the assigned courses.
- Conduct classes and deliver course material on assigned days and times.
- Utilize University Learning Management System ( LMS ) to deliver course information to students.
- Evaluate and grade student work in a timely manner.
- Maintain availability to students during posted hours to assist students.
- Respond in a timely manner to departmental and student communications.
- Meet periodically with supervisors and colleagues for collaboration, training, and development.
- Participate in departmental efforts to assess student learning.
- Respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population.
- A master’s or Ph.D. degree in psychology or a closely related field, from an accredited university is preferred.
- A commitment to outstanding teaching and delivering an excellent student experience is required.
- Previous teaching experience at the university level is preferred.
MWF from 11:00-11:50am. During the academic year, courses are generally taught on campus and face-to- face.
