Typical office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but extended afternoon, evening, and weekend work is required to be successful in this position. Travel is required for advancing recruitment efforts.

Reporting to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, the Director of Enrollment Initiatives & Partnerships holds primary responsibility for operationalizing and cross-campus coordination of the division's enrollment management initiative and partnerships.

This position plays a lead role in driving institutional management around growth and retention, translating University-level planning into operational project management and coordinated action. The Director bridges divisional programming, institutional data, and cross-campus collaboration to produce measurable improvements in enrollment, persistence, and graduation. This position holds decision making authority within the VCSA space and SEM initiatives.

The Director ensures initiatives are planned, tracked, assessed and communicated with fidelity. The Director oversees the design of collaborative plans and onboarding pathways serving prospective and returning students across the admissions, enrollment, financial aid, and broader college life cycle, directing the staff and partner offices.

This position serves as a primary point of contact for students and families, providing personalized guidance to help students navigate challenges and barriers to enrollment and retention.

The Director maintains command of institutional, UNC System, state, and federal regulations governing enrollment, holds the division accountable for compliance, and represents the University on relevant committees and in cross-institutional forums, bringing strategic recommendations directly to University leadership.

A master's degree in higher education administration, public administration, project management, or a directly related field is required. Experience in higher education in a role directly related to enrollment management, retention, student success, or project/program coordination is required. Demonstrated experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support student success goals is required.

Experience developing strong teams fostered by a collaborative culture. A commitment to fostering collaborative culture. Familiarity with Slate (Technolutions) and the UNC System is a plus.

Possess strong critical thinking skills, curiosity, administrative acumen, experience in budget management, a commitment to staff development, and a passion for empowering students through the college admission process.
