Job Description

University Libraries – University Park Life Sciences Library seeks motivated and responsible individuals to provide reference desk and public services assistance.

• Reference assistance
• Circulation of reference items
• Maintenance of the overall appearance of our library
• Enforcement of University and Libraries policies
• Collection of data for various types of assessment
• Shelving periodicals and filing other library reference materials
• Shelf reading/scanning of collections
• Other duties of a similar nature

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and computer skills
• Background in any life sciences preferred
• Ability to move throughout the library during a shift
• Availability and willingness to work evening and weekend shifts as scheduled and to pick up open shifts
