Job Description And Position Requirements

The Clark Scholars Program (CSP) is accepting applications for tutor positions. Current Penn State sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students who have earned at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA and a B+ or higher in requested subjects (including but not limited to Chemistry 110, Biology 110, Math 140, Physics 211 and other STEM classes) are welcomed to apply. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities
  • Uphold University and CSP policies and procedures
  • Conduct individual and small group tutoring sessions
  • Complete tutor reports
  • Attend trainings

Applicants should be prepared to work approximately 5‑10 hours per week; hours may vary and include evenings and/or weekends.

Qualifications
  • Current Penn State student (sophomore, junior, senior or graduate)
  • Earned at least 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • B+ or higher in requested subjects (e.g., Chemistry 110, Biology 110, Math 140, Physics 211, and other STEM classes)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • If not a Clark Scholar, provide contact information for one reference familiar with your knowledge in the subject area and/or tutoring background
  • Applications accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis
