Position Specifics
The Bennett Family Center is seeking an Early Childhood Development Educator – Pre‑K Counts committed to the process of creating and providing high quality learning environments for children and families. Assignment will be in a preschool classroom.
Responsibilities- Supporting and maintaining high quality classroom standards in a mixed age setting
- Coordinating and implementing an innovative curriculum model with a team of colleagues
- Establishing and maintaining relationships of cooperation and respect with all co‑workers, supervisors, and families
- Providing oversight and training of interns and student teachers in early childhood education undergraduate programs
- Maintaining standards in accordance with Pre‑K Counts, National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation and PA Keystone STARS 4 quality standards
- Minimum:
Bachelor's degree + 1 year of relevant experience or a minimum of Child Development (CDA) Credential - Required Pennsylvania Early Childhood Education Teaching Certification
- Experience with Environmental Rating Scale (ERS), Positive Behavior Support (PBS), and PA Early Learning Standards (ELS) highly desired
- Health physical with TB test required prior to starting the position
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check, and the National Sex Offender Registry Clearance (NSOR). Additional clearances may be necessary if you resided outside of Pennsylvania in the past five years.
Salary & BenefitsThe salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $34,800.00 – $50,500.00.
