Position Overview
The Smeal College of Business seeks an experienced Academic Adviser to work in a fast‑paced, high‑energy academic environment. Extensive knowledge of university policy and procedures that apply to the matriculation and the academic, personal, and professional development of undergraduate students is required.
Responsibilities- Provide academic advising to undergraduate students; guide students in course selection and scheduling; resolve academic problems; monitor academic progress.
- Assess other student needs and make professional referrals.
- Interpret university policies, procedures and curriculum to students and faculty in the college.
- Contribute to advising committees and/or working groups related to areas that may include student success, inclusivity, assessment and evaluation, academic policies and/or staff development.
Other duties include meeting with prospective students and families and participating in various college programs such as New Student Orientation, Admitted Student Events, Spend A Summer Day, and other programs as assigned. This position requires interaction with students, parents, faculty, and various college staff members and may require occasional weekend and evening hours.

Master’s Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is accepted. Required certifications:
None.
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.

Salary & BenefitsThe salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $46,400.00 – $67,300.00.
