Part-Time – School of Hospitality Management - Adjunct Instructor

Job Description

Penn State University, located in State College, PA, is seeking a part-time instructor to teach Hospitality Management courses in person during the spring, summer, and/or fall semesters.

• Assisting with content development and instruction
• Preparation of learning materials and activities
• Presentation of specific subjects, assessments of student learning
• Leading learning course activities in accordance with assigned course description and prescribed learning objectives
• Adjunct instructors typically teach one to two courses
• Following appropriate protocols in the instance of student illness/injury or emergency during class trips
• Communication with hiring department and with Penn State propriety systems including Penn State email, Lion Path, and Starfish systems

The minimum qualifications include a Master's degree in related field or Bachelor’s degree with appropriate years of work experience in the related field.
