JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Penn State Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center is hiring Part-time Financial Literacy Student Ambassadors at the University Park campus. Our mission is to provide students with knowledge and skills to manage financial resources effectively for a lifetime of financial well‑being.

This position focuses on giving presentations and hosting workshops to increase the level of financial literacy of the student population, as well as playing a pivotal role in assisting students in building strong financial behaviors. Other responsibilities include completing a comprehensive training plan, outreach within the student body, and peer mentoring on a one‑on‑one basis. The Ambassador will also contribute to the operations of the Center.

Applicants must be undergraduate students able to commit to consistently working up to 20 hours per week. The position is suitable for those with or without Federal Work‑Study funding for the academic year. Students from a variety of majors are encouraged to apply. The Ambassador will receive training, supervision, and support from Center staff.
