Position Overview
The Stuckeman School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture is hiring an experienced Academic Program Coordinator to support the Department of Landscape Architecture. The role involves administrative operations for the department, support to the department head, and oversight of scholarships and student competitions.
Responsibilities- Manage the department head’s calendar, schedule meetings, and arrange travel.
- Compile and organize data, agendas, and other meeting materials for committees chaired and/or attended by the department head.
- Collaborate with faculty and department leadership to forecast degree/course/certificate enrollment; retrieve, compile, and analyze course data.
- Assess classroom space and instructor requirements; plan, schedule, and finalize sections, classrooms, and exams; respond to course availability and enrollment inquiries; order textbooks.
- Create and maintain databases; compile academic data and prepare reports for department leadership related to enrollment data, student progress and experience, and accreditation information.
- Plan and coordinate events including guest lecturers and studio critic visits, graduation receptions, orientations, summer days, prospective student visits, open houses, and other program events; arrange volunteer schedules for events.
- Serve as initiator to support program and department activities and transactions.
- Coordinate scholarship and fellowship data and funds; prepare award letters, monitor expenses, prepare and analyze financial reports.
- Assign and monitor undergraduate teaching assistant class assignments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 or related workplace software.
- Ability to manage, analyze, and forecast complex datasets.
- Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly across a range of formats.
- Commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team and contributing to a positive, service‑oriented work environment.

Live by College Net, Course Leaf, e‑Steward, LionPATH, PSU Buy, SAP Concur, SIMBA, or comparable enterprise systems supporting financial, endowment, purchasing, and academic administration functions. - Demonstrated administrative experience in a higher education or academic setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment while handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Associate Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. No certifications required.

Salary & BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $44,628.00 – $64,668.00. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and a 75% tuition discount for employees and eligible family members.
